It feels like the end.

Last night was the final night of my and the other seniors final CA Tour.
In the past I have thought of how it might go, I have imagined how hard it might be, and I have considered how strange it may feel… but none of that prepared me for the rush of emotions that I felt during the Senior Banquet.

CA Seniors:
Zack Vinson
Lezlie McDonald
Andrea Fant
Hilary Phillips
Ben Bordy
Kyle Curran

This years tour, in my own biased opinion, outshines any other tour I have ever been on.
I have never been on a tour to a place that welcomed us and encouraged us in the ways that the Jamaican people did.
The people that helped us throughout our trip were invaluable and we could not have done any of what we accomplished without them.

Wayne Webb, our driver, protector, photographer, tour guide and friend.
I enjoyed every bus ride with you and all of the conversations I got to have with you in our time outside the bus. I know the entire choir considered you to be the Ultimate Jamaican Man.
The love and kindness that you extended to us made a world of difference to our entire group.

Mr. and Mrs Dawkins (and Nikki and Eileen), our kind, generous, and industrious hosts.
You both constantly strove to make our stays the best that they could be. You provided us with a safe, warm, and loving haven during an unfamiliar trip to fairly unknown places. You were fountains of information should we have any questions, and you inspired us with the stories and plans of what you have been and will be doing with your ministries.

Andrew Nichols, thank you so much for coming along and hanging out with us. You could have just stayed in your room and worked on VBS stuff or relaxed, but instead you decided to become a part of our group and get to know us. Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to be a part of the VBS you headed up and thank you for being such a great role model and leader.

Mrs. Joynt, thank you so much for sticking with the CA's as a 'Mom'. All of the other moms left when they thought the choir was going down the drain, but you jumped in and helped to hold us together and keep us moving. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into this trip and thank you for being such a great and kind leader.

Garrett Martin, thank you for all that you have done since you came to CRPC. Like I told you last night, you could have just stuck with the organists job of playing the organ when the Wilsons left, but you did something you didn't have to, something above and beyond the call of duty. You took on the challenge that was the Coral Ambassadors. We all appreciate you so much. Thank you for being a constant source of entertainment, laughter and conversation to myself and the rest of the choir and thank you for being a great friend, leader, and role model to the CA's.

Steven Phillips, thank you for all that you have done concerning the CA's, we are so thankful for all of the labor, love, and thought that you have put into the choir. Thank your for this tour, without your hard work in the organization of this trip, it wouldn't have happened. Thank you for the being the such a great role model and leader for the entire choir. Thank you for coming to Coral Ridge and jumping right in, thank you for not beating around the bush with the CA's, thank you for being so blunt and honest yet kind with us. You told us what you thought we could accomplish, and what you thought we needed to do in order to do so, and then you helped us to accomplish those goals.

I love every single member of this amazing choir.
I am so thankful for all of you.
You have given me so many fond memories and very bright hopes of more to come.

Thank you for...
sticking with it through the tough,
smiling all throughout the rough,
and enjoying all of the other stuff.

I am currently editing/cleaning up pictures and attempting to upload them to Facebook as soon as possible. As soon as I have done that, I will post a link to the albums to here.

note: before any editing or selecting, I have over 1,500 pictures to go through... please be patient! :)

Early Morning Update! cont.

After singing the in the service at FCOB, we stuck around afterwards for a powerful sermon by a booming and brilliant guest preacher. Then we cleaned up, got lunch... and went back to the Villa. After a little bit of planning we set off for the market, then for the beach, and a shopping area. After a highly successful shopping/beach experience, we went back to the Villa around 6ish for dinner and the senior banquet.

The banquet was emotional.
it was difficult.
it was moving.
but it was good.
This small group has really bonded together closer than any CA tour I've ever been on before.
I feel extremely blessed to be a part of this tour, with these people :)

I will attempt to post pictures tomorrow.

Early Morning Update!

VBS yesterday was great, we got to spend a ton of time with the children teaching them bible stories and getting to know them :)

Today, at 7:30… we are singing at "__________Church" (I can't remember the name), after we sing we will head to the airport to drop off Chris and Amanda Tyson, who were very bad and have to be sent home… okay no.. not really… but they do have a family reunion they need to get to. We will miss them dearly.

Then we head over to Church of the Open Bible to sing during their Sunday service. We are all very excited about going back to Church of the Open Bible to be with the congregation there, we have made quite a few friends :)

Loss of Power!

We've had some power problems throughout the day, leaving me unable to post :(
But I am here now to give you a quick update :)

Today:
We spent the day today painting at the First Church of the Open Bible, it was a great time and we accomplished a lot.

At about 2 in the afternoon we finished up and went outside to pass out flyers for the VBS that we are doing on Saturday.

After that a few of us got to play some soccer and basketball with a few local children.
It was a blast. Most of the pictures are from that :D

Finishing up the post about yesterday:
We went over to Sam Sharp Square to set up for our concert that evening.
The concert was an interesting experience...
It was awkward, hot, and uncomfortable.
But that was a good thing, by being uncomfortable we were not only a sweating smiling singing group, but a group who chose with their own free will to be there instead of just having an easy vacation.
That made a big impact on many peoples hearts.
There were a few interesting things that happened... but they will make great stories for when we get home :)
after that... back to the Villa.

Pictures!
